(Is He Officially An Eagle or still a Falcon in the minds of Eagles Fans?)

In the link, site Editor JasonB basically laid down an Eagles rite of passage to our current starting QB...what Mike Vick has to do to REALLY be accepted as OUR starting Quarterback of the Philadelphia Eagles: BEAT DALLAS.
And it truly is just that simple. All of the better starting QBs in Eagles History, which in all honestly is a very select few, have done what Mike Vick hasn't done as an Eagle yet in defeating the Cowboys. Those three are Jaws, Randall Cunningham, and most recently Donovan McNabb. Let's look at their overall record as a starter against the Cowboys in their careers:
- Randall Cunningham: 13 GS; 9-4 with 19 TDs and 11 INTs
- Ron Jaworski: 17 GS; 4-13 with 19 TDs and 24 INTs
- Donovan McNabb: 19 GS; 11-8 with 26 TDs and 13 INTs
All but one have winning records against Dallas; which is pretty good but do you want to know what Vick's record is against Dallas as a starter?
- Michael Vick: 3 GS, 1-3 with 5 TDs and 1 INT
But of course; that was when he was in Atlanta and needless to say that the Falcons aren't rivals with the Cowboys. The EAGLES are; and when you're a starting QB of the Philadelphia Eagles, you simply have to BEAT DALLAS. And if you're Mike Vick, if you want to put your stamp on this team as the MAN; then you do what Donovan McNabb failed to do his last three games as an Eagle: BEAT DALLAS. Hell Mike, you threw the only TD pass in the Wild Card game last season for crying out loud!
If you're a loyal Eagles fan like myself; you know for a fact that if we went 2-14 one season and those two wins were against the Cowboys then all wasn't lost. And believe me; most of you share that same sentiment. The division games against the Giants and Redskins are good rivalries; but the fact of the matter is THE rivalry in this division is EAGLES-COWBOYS...ENOUGH SAID. So Mike Vick, you know what to do on Sunday. Don't look ahead to the division showdown against the G-Girls next weekend, worry about this game because this Dallas team is finally playing like the team that many picked to come out of the NFC, and with all the pressure of being a Super Bowl or Bust team (how 'bout those Jets EK LOL) on their shoulders being out the window, they're ready to play spoilers.
