With a “Special Announcement” Edition of the RedZone taking place this Saturday; and obviously with the Eagles-Texans game going down tonight, the guys want to give you their picks for the Thursday night’s game and three reasons why.
Shawn Brown
1. The Eagles will seek redemption after a poor showing in Chicago on Sunday. On a short week, the Birds will come out and have extra motivation and energy after being embarrassed last game.
2. It's a short rest week, while the Eagles can stay put and practice in Philadelphia, Texas must travel to the City of Brotherly Love.
3. The Texans are 28th in total Defense. Their secondary is weak, 30th in pass defense. Good news for Desean Jackson who is already licking his chops after a bad game in Chi-town. Expect D-Jack and Vick to burn the Texan'sDefense early and hook up for a touchdown reception. After the Birds establish an early lead, and temps start to drop towards freezing, expect a lot of LeSean McCoy to wear down the Texas D and seal win number eight for the Birds.
The Pick: Double Digit win here. Philly 27-17 over Houston.

Chris Cosme:
1.The Eagles Defense had one of their worst performances as a whole with coverage and missed tackling; if they get back to the fundamentals and a returning Asante Samuel, they’ll be coming to play inspired football.
2. On the other side; the Texans pass defense in particular is 30st like Shawn alluded to and the Redskins are the 29th ranked pass defense in the league, and looked at how many points we scored on them on a Monday Night back in November. Which means DeSean Jackson will have a breakout game.
3. Andy Reid FINALLY scolded his team for their play; and with a young team like this Eagles team; it’s going to benefit not only him but his team for this stretch run because a MOTIVATED and ANGRY Eagles team is a team NO ONE wants to play from here on out.
