What We Learned in Game 3

I know that I stated on this week's show that I couldn't find myself to tune in to the World Series, I couldn't help myself on a Saturday night. The reason? Well the Flyers laid the smackdown on the Islanders, the Sixers were building 4 three story buildings made from bricks in Indiana; and most of the college games I tried to watch became non-competitive after the 1st quarter. So needless to say I had nothing better to watch!

So here are things I take away from Game 3 of the World Series

• Pat Burrell, nicknamed "The Bat"; looks like he left it in a strip club in San Francisco while going 0-4 with 4 Ks. Making his total at-bats in this World Series at 0-9 with 8 Ks; so he simply STINKS right now. Does Bochy bench Burrell tonight in favor of Rowand?
• The hottest hitter in this World Series isn't Cody Ross folks. It's Mitch Moreland, who hit the biggest HR for the Rangers this postseason with that 3-run bomb in the 2nd set the tone of the game for Texas. Moreland is now a ridicious 7 for 9 in the Series.
• Speaking of Ross, what else can you say about the guy that hasn't been said before? Another HR last night, giving him five this postseason. Haven't seen a hot streak like that since Carlos Beltran for the Astros a few years ago.
• Jonathan Sanchez has struggled this postseason and it looks like for the rest of the series, which can only help Texas get back in this series.
• Still cannot believe how this Giants team is in the World Series after looking at the box score of Game 3.
• Another great performance from the Japan League's favorite pitcher, Colby Lewis. He shut down the vaunted Yankees office in Game 6, and shut down the Giants last night for a strong 7 2/3 innings. The amazing thing was how he was able to paint that fastball on the corners while his velocity only tipped at 90 MPH at best.
• Buster Posey looks lost at the plate right now. With Burrell struggling, Buster is going to have to pick up the slack or it's going back to San Francisco.
• Oh yeah, If you can't resign Jayson Werth...doesn't hurt to sign Cody FN Ross right?
